Xiaomi users are often faced with the problem of the rapid growth of internal storage for no reason. But not everyone knows that phone storage is mostly clogged with junk files. The recycle bin is not deleted on its own. Temporary and corrupted files, cache and install distributions remain in the device memory. When the storage is full, the smartphone starts to slow down. Therefore, it is important to know how to clear the cache of your Xiaomi smartphone.
Previously with the 11e MIUI version, the cache can be easily cleared through system settings. However, after updating to MIUI 12, this feature has been removed from there. However, it turned out that it was not permanently removed from the firmware, only hidden from view. And now we’ll try to find it.
To do this we need any application to access the activity. We are going to take Activity launcher for example.
- Install and open the Activity Launcher app;
- In the search box, type “Storage” and open the item of the same name;
- This brings us to the familiar menu that was on MIUI 11;
- Now you just need to select “Cached data” and confirm to clear the cache.
