Take the following steps, and you can change the virtual memory paging file size successfully.

  1. Right-click the This PC icon on your desktop and then select Properties.
  2. Select Advanced system settings in the left.
  3. Go to the Advanced tab and click on the Settings… under Performance.
  4. Keep going to the Advanced tab and click on the Change… button.
  5. Uncheck “Automatically manage paging file size for all drivers”.Check Custom size below and set your own virtual machine size. It is recommended to set your physical memory x 1.5.
    For example, if your computer’s memory is 2 GB, you can set the virtual memory between 2048 MB to 4096 MB.
  6. Click on the Set button and then click on the OK button.
  7. Now restart your computer to let the change take effect.
