It has been leaked that Google is preparing a very important update for your Assistant. A new section has come to light that will make the application of the Google Assistant much more complete.
The reminders is one of the key features of any assistant and now the Google Assistant prepare a kind of merge reminders, notes and collections in the future ‘Memory’ section.
This will be ‘Memory’
So far the Google Assistant offers two sections: the commands to interact by voice or the keyboard with the Assistant and the section ‘Day view’ with notifications, events and reminders. Well then, ‘Memory’ It will be the third differentiated section and it would come to enhance the reminders.
9to5Google has managed to activate this new section still in development to show us the first details and screenshots. The welcome screen of this new section informs that with ‘Memory’ you will be able to:
- Save screen content: including links to original source when available.
- Save real world stuff: handwritten objects, posters or notes.
- Save thoughts and reminders: thoughts, ideas and things.
- And find it all in one place again: smart search and organization.
According to the filtration, the Google Assistant You will be able to save articles, books, contacts, events, flights, hotels, pictures, movies, music, notes, photos, places, playlists, products, recipes, reminders, restaurants, screenshots, shipments, TV shows, videos and websites. Practically everything we see on the screen can be turned into a reminder or note to see later.
The Google Assistant will automatically organize saved items by themes, as well as allowing us to create our own themes. Also its intelligent search engine will allow us to quickly find our reminders or notes. In addition, it has a trash can to recover deleted “memories”.
It is unknown when Google will officially release this new feature. At the moment it is in the internal testing phase, with which only Google employees have official access to the new ‘Memory’, whose name in Spanish is unknown.
