After a long wait, Motorola’s new Edge family is now a reality. There have been three models that the company has presented, among which we can find the Motorola Edge 20 Pro, Motorola Edge 20 and, which in this post we are going to talk to you, the Motorola Edge 20 Lite. The latter is presented as the most economical alternative of them, maintaining some characteristics of its older brothers that will make it compete fully in the so complicated Android mid-range.

A design in line with the entire range
On an aesthetic level, the new Motorola Edge 20 Lite shows lines that are not surprising at all within the Motorola product family. We continue to keep the brand’s logo in its central part, and we find a generously sized camera module that gains prominence in the design while maintaining the same color as the back of the device.
And, speaking of color, the American firm has decided to provide its Lite model with two finishes, among which we can see a color Electric Graphite and Lagoon Green, that is, black and green.
Other details that attract our attention is the inclusion of a 3.5mm jack in its lower part next to the USB-C connection, fingerprint reader on the unlock button and even a resistance to water and dust that reaches the IP52 certification.
Taking a look at the panel chosen to mount on this Lite model, we find a screen with OLED technology, something not too common in these price ranges, accompanied by a Full HD + resolution, a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz and even compatibility with HDR10 +. This shows a good use of its side frames thanks to the use of the hole in the screen for its front camera.
Mediatek processor in command of operations
One of the big differences that we are going to find with respect to its older brothers is going to be the choice of the processor. In this case, we have a chipset signed by Mediatek, specifically the Dimensity 720 5G, which comes accompanied by a single variant of 8 GB of RAM along with 128 GB of internal storage expandable with micro SD cards of up to 512 GB.
Another interesting aspect is that we have 5G connectivity, something important considering the price of the product, in addition to a generous battery with 5,000 mAh capacity that is compatible with a fast charge that reaches 30 W of power.
Combined with this hardware, we will have the latest version of the operating system available, Android 11, which, as we are used to by Motorola, will come with some extra functionalities while maintaining the stock aesthetics of this software.
Motorola does not forget the 108 megapixels in the Lite model
One of the great surprises that we find in the most economical phone of the Motorola Edge 20 family is the choice of the same 108 megapixel sensor that we find in its brothers. It seems that Motorola does not want to leave aside the photographic section in this device, so, at least on paper, we will find an identical result with respect to the standard and pro models. To complete this section, the company has equipped the Edge 20 Lite with the following sensors:
- 108 megapixel main sensor with an f / 1.9 aperture lens
- Wide angle with 16 megapixel sensor and lens with f / 2.2 aperture
- 2 megapixel depth sensor
- 32 megapixel front camera with f / 2.25 aperture
Motorola Edge 20 Lite price and availability
The new Motorola Edge 20 Lite will be available over the next few weeks at a official price of 349 euros. It will go on sale in a single version of 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, being able to select it in up to two different finishes: Electric Graphite and Lagoon Green.
