As usual for a long time, Samsung has been quite punctual in publishing its security patch for this month of January, and which brings together the security improvements, its own and Google’s, published in recent weeks. And as is also usual, it is a patch that not only reaches a mobile phone but several of its catalog.
Specifically, Samsung has published its January 2022 security patch and reaches a total of 25 brand phones, including models of the S series, models of the A series, folding models belonging to the latest generations and also a tablet. We tell you which models are the ones that receive the aforementioned patch, in case your phone or tablet is among them, so that you can know if you will receive it soon.
Samsung’s January 2022 security patch
This is where we have to regret, first of all, that Samsung does not make the content of its January 2022 security patch more ‘readable’. In a document published by the company itself we can see all the errors that the company corrects with this security patch, all of them with their corresponding serial numbers although without reference to which models are affected, or to which versions of your software.
We do know that Samsung includes in its corrections the errors in turn corrected by Google in the ‘Android Security Bulletin’ January, and which are divided into critical bugs (two), high-risk bugs, and moderate-risk bugs. In turn, bug patches are included that do not directly affect Samsung devices, but that the manufacturer also details. All of them can be consulted in this online publication of the brand.
This patch, as we have indicated previously, is published for 25 company devices between different series of phones, folding and normal, and tablets. We indicate below which are the models that receive the aforementioned security patch.
- Samsung Galaxy S
- Samsung Galaxy A
- Samsung Galaxy Note
- foldable samsung phones
- Tablets Samsung
All these models, as we have indicated, will receive the security patch that Samsung has already released. Since the operation is usually similar with each release, reception can be staggered and even take several days to receive the corresponding update. Be patient.
