Until now, Spotify was an application that provided many functions in watches with the Wear OS operating system. Between them, we could access the different playlists and control the content playing on another device via Spotify Connect.
Now, this application is updated to incorporate one of the most anticipated functions by users, and it is none other than that of to be able to download music in the local storage of our smart watch to be able to listen to it offline.
Offline music so you can leave your phone at home
In detail, Spotify itself explains that this function is available on all watches with Wear OS 2.0 or higher versions, so you can check in the updates section of your smartwatch if you can access it.
Thanks to this new feature, users who have contracted Spotify Premium will be able to download songs, playlists, podcasts and even complete albums to be able to reproduce them without the need for connection. On the other hand, users who do not have a Premium plan, will only be able to download podcasts and stream in random mode using a WiFi or data network, but they will not be able to download music for offline playback.
Of course, we must bear in mind that downloading this content will occupy storage space on our device, so we must be careful not to find ourselves with the surprise that our internal memory has been completely occupied.
As we told you, this update is already available for all watches with Wear OS 2.0 or higher versions and, in the case that you have not received it yet, over the next few weeks it will be reaching the rest of the devices pending update.
