The Samsung Galaxy M30s begins to update to Android 11 with One UI 3.0

The Samsung Galaxy M30s was launched in September 2019 with Android 9 Pie under its arm. In March 2020 I received the update to Android 10 with One UI 2.0 and now, almost a year later, it begins to receive updating to Android 11 with One UI 3.0.

The update arrives a little earlier than expectedAccording to the update schedule that the company shared in December, the Samsung Galaxy M30s’ turn to receive Android 11 should have arrived in March.

The latest in Android for the Samsung Galaxy M30s

Second big update for the Samsung Galaxy M30s, which was launched with Android 9 Pie and now begins to receive Android 11. The update arrives with the M307FXXU4CUAG version, a size of almost 2 GB and the January security patch.

We tested One UI 3.0 on Android 11: this is the latest update of the Samsung Galaxy

The firmware is being distributed in India first, for SM-M307F. If you have the exact same model and don’t want to wait another minute, you could always try your luck flashing with Odin, although we don’t highly recommend it – it should roll out to other regions in the coming weeks.

Upgrade

As with Samsung’s other recent Android 11 updates, this new firmware combines the what’s new in Android 11 with what’s new in Samsung One UI 3. There is a change in the appearance of the layer, with more options in some apps, notifications with smart responses, notification bubbles, one-time permissions and much more news.

As we said, the update starts in India and, if all goes well, it should be extended to other regions later. As always, you can check if you have the update available from the System Settings, in the section Software update.
