For a few years, WhatsApp has allowed us to mention someone in the groups, so that there is no doubt about who we are addressing and also to draw their attention, since their mobile will vibrate even if they have the group muted.
The problem is that WhatsApp currently informs you that you have been mentioned when you are in a group. It does not inform you from the chat view, but this is going to change soon.
New Commendation Badge
The source code of the latest update of WhatsApp Beta (2.21.3.13) prepares to show a new mention badge from chats view. So far the chat view only shows for each chat if the number of new messages and if the conversation is muted and / or pinned. Well, soon we will also see a new indicator that will inform us in which groups they have mentioned us.
This feature is still in development. It is not available or in its Beta version. We will have to wait for them to activate it in future updates. There are currently only references in its source code.
New animated pack
The new WhatsApp Beta update continues to add new animated stickers. The new package called ‘Taters n Tots’ offers us 16 fun animated stickers featuring a couple made up of a cat and dog. To download them all you have to do is go to WhatsApp stickers, click on ‘+’ and look for this new animated pack in the list.
