Xiaomi is finalizing its next software versions: MIUI 13 is in development and some details have already been leaked. But that does not mean that MIUI 12.5 is on a dead end, the brand has announced an Enhanced Edition or improved edition that will bring four new functions to mobiles such as Xiaomi Mix 4, Xiaomi Mi 11 or Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. At the moment only in China.
Mobile phones evolve with respect to previous generations by dint of including new and better hardware components, but software is also important. The announcement of this improved edition of MIUI 12.5 was communicated by surprise and on the Weibo account that MIUI manages. There the keys of this new version 12.5 and the mobiles it will initially arrive were revealed, all from the highest range of Xiaomi.
MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition is a review of Xiaomi’s latest layer where developers focus on intelligent software behavior. As detailed by MIUI in its infographic, the improved edition points to four key pillars of the layer:
- Atomic memory. Xiaomi has managed to improve the memory management of its devices by refining compression and background usage. The brand ensures that memory capacity increases by 64% thanks to the optimization of that background.
- Liquid storage. This enhancement is intended to combat storage degradation due to constant reading and writing. Xiaomi assures that it attenuates this degradation by 5% during the first 36 months of use of the device.
- Focus calculation. MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition includes 51 predefined usage scenes where the software can speed up the execution of tasks; while reducing processor load by 15% and improving battery drain by 8%. Always according to Xiaomi data.
- Smart balance. The system makes an intelligent allocation of hardware performance and power consumption so that the device optimizes resources.
The four pillars of MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition point to improve device performance and consumption using software AI and predefined usage scenes. In addition, MIUI ensures that system errors have been fixed as well as improved its stability.
