Almost two years ago Apple Music showed up by mistake in Google Home, and since then we had no further news about the integration of Apple’s music service with Google smart speakers. Until now.

Finally Google confirms the arrival of Apple Music a Google Home, or what is the same, from today you will be able to listen to the more than 70 million songs available from Apple in our Nest Audio, Nest Mini, Google Nest Hub and other speakers and smart displays compatible with the Google Assistant. Of course, at the moment the availability is very limited.

Only in the US, UK, France, Germany and Japan

The arrival of Apple Music to the ecosystem of speakers compatible with Google Home at the moment is limited to United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany and Japan. Countries where from today your users will be able to link their Apple account in the Google Assistant to listen to their favorite music.

Neither Google nor Apple have given details about the expansion of this integration for the rest of the countries in which Apple Music and Google smart speakers are available. Nor do we understand the reason for this limited release.

With this integration, the Google Assistant now allows you to select YouTube Music, Spotify, Deezer y Apple Music as a music provider to listen to music on smart speakers and displays. From the mobile, the Google Assistant allows you to listen to any application.

To change the default music service of your smart speaker you just have to open Google Home, click on the icon + and click on Music. There you can link your music services.
