There is no need to delete your account. The site provides an option to disable it and reactivate it when you need it. The temporarily disabled Instagram account is not visible when searching and in the subscription section. In other words, it is deleted for other users, no one can send you a message or view your photos.
How to temporarily disable my Instagram account?
To do this, you must use the version of the Instagram browser. Mobile app has not yet this function.
- Launch your browser and go to your profile page.

- Tap "Edit Profile";
- Scroll down the list and select the option "Temporarily disable my account";
