Samsung Galaxy M02: a cheap mobile phone with a great battery

After announcing the Samsung Galaxy A02, now it is the turn of the Samsung Galaxy M02: another name for the new generation of modest phones and the cheapest of Samsung. In exchange, it costs about 80 euros.

The Samsung Galaxy M02 represents the most classic entry range, starting with 2 GB of RAM. The design does not differ much from other Samsung Galaxy A or M and a 5,000 mAh battery.

A cheap Samsung with great battery

In the Samsung Galaxy M02, the South Koreans use as a base the mold of any Samsung Galaxy A or M, eliminating everything that is not strictly necessary to achieve the lowest possible price reduction. In front, we have a TFT screen of 6.5 inches and with HD + resolution, with the usual 60 Hz and a notch in the form of a drop at the top.

Behind, we have the two cameras, with a 13 megapixel main sensor and a second 2-megapixel sensor which, oddly enough, is macro and not the bokeh you’d expect. In front, the front camera is 5 megapixels.

For the processor, Samsung has opted for a friendly no-name MediaTek brain: the MediaTek MT6739W, with quad-core up to 1.5 GHz and versions with 2 and 3 GB of RAM. In storage, 32 GB for both versions, with the possibility of using a MicroSD of up to 1 TB.

The little that the Samsung Galaxy M02 can boast of is its battery capacity, which is 5.000 mAh, but without any type of fast charge and with MicroUSB connector. The terminal has a headphone jack, although it does not have any type of biometrics, as it lacks a fingerprint reader.

Versions and prices of the Samsung Galaxy M02

The Samsung Galaxy M02 will go on sale on February 7 in India, with an official price of 6,799 Indian rupees, about 77 euros to change current, for the version with 2 GB of RAM. It is available in the colors black, white, blue and red. It is unknown if it will be released in other countries at the moment.
