Xiaomi does not stop and the updates of its operating system jump from one phone to another as their turn comes. If at least a month ago we attended the arrival of Android 10 to Redmi 7, now it’s the next generation, the one formed by Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A.
We continue with the round of Android updates within the manufacturer and Chinese and we already have here the two of its cheapest models. Two models whose ROM with Android 10 has already been released to the point that, if we wish, we can download it on our own so as not to wait any longer than it should until it reaches our territory.
Global beta updates for both models
With the jump to Android 10, both the Redmi 8 and the Redmi 8A leave behind the dessert party of the operating system although remain in MIUI 11, without going from version as far as the proprietary layer is maintained. We advance in the operating system but we keep the same version of the layer that already came to both models months ago.
Since we talk about the beta version, although stable, from a MIUI 11 with Android 10 for both phones, a developer account may be required to install them correctly. Be that as it may, the two ROMs can be downloaded without problems on both models, and both have a practically identical serial number.
To load them we will need the Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A have the bootloader unlocked to later use TWRP or a similar tool that allows us to load them on our phone. And if we are signed up for the MIUI beta system, we will receive the update when its due time arrives, remember, it is already international.
